I am in my 73rd year now. I have had too many iterations to count. English teacher. Doctor. Rancher. Camp host. Writer. Painter. I’m still adding to the chapters of my big fat life. It is thrilling.

I love this. Maximum chapters, please!

Hmm, Lisa-Marie, I had to read this because I thought your title was a typo! My whole Substack is written for women (and a growing number of men) who believe they're too old, too late, or too stuck to make the changes they want to make in life. I'm 82, and I know better! I've reinvented myself 7 times -- well, Substack is my 8th, but who's counting? I'm not going to write about 5 years from now. My whole purpose now, having survived near death 2 years ago, is to live in the present and make every precious moment count. The universe sent me your post, your title, which I vigorously disagreed with, made me open it, and I'm wondering if there might be something we could do together since we have a large overlap in our audiences and our messages. Check out my Substack and let me know if you agree. Blue💙

I know you and your Substack already, Blue. You are often in my Notes feed, which means that Substack agrees with you on our overlapping audience 😊 It would be great if you would like to join the Salon which is a fabulous way of introducing yourself to the Heroines. They are very friendly I promise. You are welcome to DM me to discuss other ideas!

I DM’d you, Lisa-Marie. Blue💙

Im seventy FIVE. I LOVE dishing my years out, and usually say, I'm 75 and a half (with the an anticipating excitement as the child), because I hold SO much experience at so many really cool things that you can (...and may), learn FROM. Don't fuss with anything cosmetic. No lotions or creams unless there requires a specific task m-need.

Eat when Im hungry. Sleep when Im sleepy. Scream when something has gone terribly wrong. Speak to (and get responses from), as many strangers as I come in contact with, beside me; even in jest or simply facial expression. Water the forgotten sagging dried up plants while waiting for my car, to be serviced @ the service garages. Pick up 'tossed' or basket-missed hand towels 'up off the floor' of public bathroom stalls, and lean in to crunch the rest all the way down (into the tall bin). When fake covid was just launching its crazy debut, I was crafting brown paper whole head masks touting clever eye m-opening sayings and websites like: the healthy american and darning them into every single store.

I ran town halls outside WHOLE FOODS, & Trader Joe's & Restaurants & DMV until kicked out. I tore down obstacles and left no trace.

Please forgive me. Naming celebrity names who more than likely have much less ORGANIC success than I, is an intellectual insult. 🙄😜👈

I can’t say I agree with your perspective, but I value your independence, drive and obvious kindness.
